SimplyFixItParticipant
I am using Stripe Payments 2.0.11 and Subscriptions 2.0.2
The only other thing is that I am still using the Stripe legacy API, because I want customers to be able to subscribe using Apple Pay.
I’ve changed that to the new API and I’ll keep an eye on any failed payments from now on. But losing Apple Pay is a real pain.
Unfortunately I don’t have a card that I can test this with, but if you have one I could send you a link to a subscription creation page and you can see if you get notified that a subscription has been created?
SimplyFixItParticipantNo. There have been 2 cases this week. In the first the card was declined for lack of funds. The second case was a “Do not honor” message.
The subscription was created. The invoice was finalized but the payment failed. The invoice was kept “alive” for 24 hours and I was able to manually retry collecting payment in the Stripe dashboard during this time, but after 24 hours the invoice was voided and the subscription in my wordpress dashboard was changed to “Incomplete_expired”
All that is good. Except for the fact that the customer was taken to the Subscription was created page, so they think they have a subscription with me.
SimplyFixItParticipantSorry. I can see now that the Apple Pay option comes up when it’s a single one-off purchase. It’s when it’s a subscription that the Apple Pay option doesn’t appear any more. Is that intentional?
SimplyFixItParticipantI have sent it just now. The Legacy API is disabled at the moment, so you can see that the Apple Pay buttons are not there.
SimplyFixItParticipantI tried that, but it hasn’t made a difference.
The add-on is enabled.
The sequence of events is. I have a page where someone can choose to pay with apple pay. I disable the legacy API, and if I refresh the product page, the apple pay button is gone. And there’s no option to pay with apple pay, if I just click the normal pay button. If I reenable the legacy API and refresh the product page, the Apple Pay buttons come back.
SimplyFixItParticipantI am on Stripe Payments version 2.0.10 and Stripe Additional Payment Methods Add-on version 2.0.2 which seem to be the latest versions.
I don’t see Apple Pay anywhere, either on an iPhone or in Safari on a Mac.
SimplyFixItParticipantI have been using Apple Pay on my site for a while with your plug-in. But if I enable the new Stripe API (or disable the legacy API) the Apple Pay buttons don’t appear any more.
As soon as I re-enable the legacy API, the buttons come back.
Any ideas?
SimplyFixItParticipantIt feels like the SOFORT plugin could be easily converted. Is there any way to get a copy of the plugin so I can see if it would work? I will gladly pay for it, as I have 2 of your other plug-ins, but I just want to make sure that I can make it work with Klarna first.
