Can coupons be used on subscription products?

Is it possible to offer a coupon/discount code on a monthly subscription product?

Example: The monthly subscription is $30/month but with a coupon code, you can get it for $20/month (every month ongoing).

I read the support page about the coupon codes but am unclear whether these only work for regular products that are one time purchases, or whether they could be used in a subscription scenario.

Yes, you can apply discount coupons for a subscription product also.

It can be used to apply a discount on the recurring payment (like the example you gave).
