The Stripe Payments Multi Currency Addon is to be used with the Stripe Payments Plugin to offer multiple currencies to your potential customers. As the site admin, you can choose which currencies you will offer on your site. The currencies you select will then be displayed in a dropdown menu on each of your products. The customers can pick a currency from the dropdown and do the transaction in that currency.
If a customer chooses to proceed using a currency other than the default option, they will be charged the conversion fee you state in the settings menu.
Note: Multi-currency doesn’t work for Subscription payments.
Why Offer Multiple Currencies?
Offering multiple currencies on your website extends the range of customers you can potentially sell your products to. Giving your customers a choice of multiple currencies increases the chance of a successful sale.

The screenshot below shows where the currency drop-down is situated on each product.

The currencies you have chosen to offer will be displayed in a drop-down menu. It is then your customers decision which one they will use to pay for the item. In the example below, the customer can choose from ‘6’ different currencies.
Installing the Stripe Multi Currency Addon
Once you have purchased this addon you will be able to install it straight onto your WordPress site.

Step 1) Click on the Settings menu under Stripe Payments.
Step 2) Select the Multi Currency tab.
Step 3) Mark the Enable Multi Currency to enable this feature on your site.
Step 4) You can choose to customize the Conversion Fee. By default, the conversion fee is set at 2% although you can alter this depending on your needs.
Step 5) To give your customers the option to choose a currency on all products, mark the Show Currency Select Box On Each Product checkbox.
Step 6) From the list of currencies, simply mark the checkbox next to each that you wish to offer your customers. You can choose to select them all or just a number of them.
Step 7) Save the changes.
Selecting a Currency Other than the Default Option
Once a customer selects a currency (other than the default option) they will need to click the Apply button. This will reload the page and show them how much the product will cost in that currency. The total amount includes the conversion fee you specify.
Example: Currency Conversion Rate
The default currency of the site below is US dollars. The customer has chosen to pay using Australian dollars.
The normal price of this item is $19.95 USD. This was automatically converted to $26.98 AU when the customer applied the currency. The customer can now simply pay for this item through the Stripe popup checkout.
The Currency Selection is Remembered
After the user interacts with the currency selection field, the addon will store the selected currency option. Whenever the user visits a new page, the addon will automatically choose the previously selected currency as the product currency. However, if the customer wishes to select a new currency, they can use the “change currency” widget to do so.
