help to add Custom field

I have checked instructions however I would like some additional info before we acquire this addon.
I have been asked to ‘add’ a ‘text box ‘requiring’ customers’ telephone number when they are purchasing digital download. Can this be done? Everything else appears to be working well.

In your case, you will make a normal text custom field and call it “Phone Number”. The customer can enter that value at the time of the payment.
