We are just recently getting a ‘Caught Exception: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0’ error when processing a credit card transaction. The dialog has the spinning ball icon but the transaction is never processed or the dialog dismissed.

We’ve removed all plugins except the Stripe Payments Plugin and WP eMember and still have this problem. Both plugins are up to date (v2.0.44 and v10.2.6). Running WP 5.71 and PHP 7.4.15

    Any ideas?

Post a URL where I can go and see this using my browser (to see if I can get any clues).

Also, do the following to see if there is additional info in the debug log file (that can be helpful to get some clues):

Using the Debug Log to Solve Transaction Related Issues on a Site

Thanks, Admin. We have resolved the problem. There was an unrelated and unreported error in our functions.php file that appears to have triggered the issue.

Thank you for your prompt assistance.
