Hi,
In the latest version of the plugin, I am getting the following message when submitting a payment – after entering the card details and clicking the pay button: “You passwed an empty string for ‘referrer’. We assume empty values are an attempt to unset a parameter; however, ‘referrer’ cannot be unset. You should remove ‘referrer’ from your request or supply a non-empty value.” Any clues on solving this one because there are settings for referrer?

I am getting this as well. We are version 1.8.1 and it was working fine until 25 May, now we are getting these error messages.
Nope, that version is not working either. I just did a test payment and got the same message. Unfortunately I cannot send a screen-shot to show you as this forum does not allow to attach files, but I can send if you email me.
Can you please tell me the shortcode you are using to create the payment button? Also share a link to the page where you have the payment button so I can inspect it.
If it helps, the product using the shortcode was published on 30 March 2018, and it was working fine right up until yesterday as the last the last payment was 25 May.
Thank you. Looks like an issue with the custom field feature. We will look into it and release another update.
In the meantime, if you can turn off the custom field feature from the advanced menu, the transactions will go through at least.

Thx but the transactions are still not working after turning off Custom Field feature.
I have turned off the Custom Field feature as follows:
– removed the tick from the “Enable for all buttons” in the advanced menu
– “Disabled” the custom filed in the productBut I am still getting the error.
I refreshed the web page before entering CC details – I know it was refreshed because the Custom Field was “Full Name” which used to show on the page with the amount, now “Full Name” does not show after turning off the Custom field feature.
The page where I am having the issue is: crcsite.org/payments-rest-of-the-world/ – the site is currently in test mode, so please use one of Stripe’s test cards when testing https://stripe.com/docs/testing#cards. We do not use custom fields, so I doubt it is that. If you also want to see WP Simple Pay working on our site then I have a test page at crcsite.org/aamtestsimplepay/

Referer error (in test mode) paying the stripe product, its short code or using aa dynamic shortcode.

We have released a new version (v1.8.9) that fixes the issue. Please update the plugin and empty your browser cache then test the transaction.
The error was caused by a recent change in the Stripe API.
Excellent, I can now confirm that it is working correctly. Very nicely done guys, top marks for responsiveness.
