I have a suggestion for a new feature or setting on the mailchimp add on. It would be incredibly useful to integrate tags. Currently you have an option for groups and that’s okay. It helps the admin filter and find subscribers on the back end in Mailchimp but it does not allow the admin to control which members of the audience will receive a certain email campaign. Tags however are an available filtering option in the creation of a mailchimp campaign so that you can select your audience. For example if we have people Thank you signing up for kids summer camp on a certain date we can add a tag for that date and now if we need to send an email to those people who have signed up for that camp date it’s very easy so for example a weather emergency or some other reason. You can see how this makes great sense to use tags or integrate tags into the mailchimp add on. Let us know what you think about the idea.
Sorry I did not clarify. Much in the same way we can add groups separated by commas it would be great to be able to add tags separated by commas. And if a tag does not yet exist on mailchimp then it would be created if it’s a new tag specified in the comma separated tags.
Thank you. It’s a good idea. I will add it to our wishlist for this addon.
