Hello,
I want to buy the MailChimp Integration Add-on, but your documentation only shows the capability of collecting the email address. Is it possible to collect their name too?
I have all my Products set to collect the billing address so they have to input their name, I just want to make sure that gets transferred into MailChimp before I buy the add-on.
Thanks!
Hi.
If billing address collection is enabled, then yes, MailChimp add-on will take customer name that he have entered in billing details.
I have another question regarding the add-on.
Is it possible to send the information I collected in the custom field?
I feel like since that information is stored and available in the order information that it should also be able to be sent to MailChimp as long as I could map it to the corresponding field in my list (which is pretty easy since the actual data is someone’s web address). Same goes for the address information, but that’s not quite as important.
Thanks!
No, it can’t send custom field to MailChimp at this stage.
Right, I ended up buying it after my first question, and it works great. I knew it didn’t currently send the custom field, but I thought it would be pretty easy to do so in a future update. The data is already read in an API and sent to stripe, as well as stored in the plugin’s database somewhere. It shouldn’t be too hard to also send it along to MailChimp since you’re already doing that too, no?
sandeld is there anything fancy that you had to do to get the plugin to work?
